NEW! Superintendent - Dallas

Job Summary:

DBG Construction is seeking a Superintendent for a contract position to oversee a new jobsite in Dallas, Texas for approximately 4 months. The Superintendent  will be accountable for providing direction and oversight of work performed by subcontractors, vendors, and any other on-site workers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, particularly in tenant-improvement projects in the $3,000,000 - $5,000,000 range. Ideal candidates will have strong relationship building skills, excellent planning and project management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and lead others. Position also requires collaboration with clients and jobsite employees to maintain jobsite safety, constructability, and performance according to the established schedule and project plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general direction and oversight to the safe performance of work that meets required quality standards and the established time and scope in the project plan.
  • Assess and address performance issues with jobsite work crews
  • Address performance issues with subcontractors
  • Responsible for developing the site, including; site security; truck routing (inbound and outbound); plan and develop logistics for and overall personnel and material movement within the site.
  • Establish and maintain regularly scheduled daily and weekly project team meetings as appropriate for the project.
  • Responsible for compiling and delivering daily project reports
  • Establish and maintain project procurement logs
  • Attend onsite meetings to resolve issues and maintaining meeting minutes.

Project Estimator

Job Summary:

DBG Construction is seeking an experienced project estimator. Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in estimating construction projects. The Estimator will be responsible for producing competitive estimates, communicating and negotiating bids from subcontractors, maintaining and updating sales meeting spreadsheets.

Responsibilities:

  • Review plans, specifications and other contract documents
  • Preparation of cost estimates including labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor and other miscellaneous costs
  • Presentation of estimate to senior management
  • Solicit quotes from vendors and subcontractors
  • Review all subcontractor and supplier quotes for complete scope
  • Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and closing out estimates
  • Prepare post-bid documents for archive of unsuccessful bids
  • Prepare public and private bid proposals
  • Maintain and update Estimating Binders, Bid Bonds, Insurance, and Bid Documents
  • Deliver Public & Private Bids/Delegate Delivery of Formal Bids
  • Attend Pre-Bids/Delegate Pre-Bid Attendance

Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary:

DBG Construction is looking for Assistant Project Managers (APMs) to help our Project Managers with multiple current and upcoming construction projects. Ideal candidates are quality-conscious, with the ability to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced team environment. Prior experience in project coordination or management within the construction industry is a plus. APMs are responsible for coordinating with Project Managers and Project Scheduler to manage workers, materials, and equipment for projects properly and in a timely manner.  The position also includes providing project support, such as editing and proofing specifications, compiling deliverables, coordinating multiple project components and some administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily administration of projects
  • Maintains projects in an orderly/organized manner to better ensure a safe and productive worksite
  • Manages and schedules manpower, equipment, material delivery, and subcontractors
  • Manages all related/required traffic control operations and safety
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of project(s) to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and within or below budget
  • Manage suppliers and subcontractors to ensure to ensure safety, profit, and scheduling as well as customer satisfaction
  • Employs best practices in planning and organizing work to maximize potential crew productivity and maximizing equipment utilization levels

  • Working knowledge of Procore Construction Management software is a plus, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Sage 300, Timberline is a plus, but not required
